GENERAL MANAGER UPDATE
Nicole Richards

One of our Level 1 girls, Nicole Richards has a benign tumor that has destroyed her hearing on one side. She just had an operation to have the last of it removed and all went well. We look forward to seeing her back at the gym soon. You’d think she would have enough to worry about herself, but she’s taken it upon herself to raise funds for the Leukaemia Foundation via World’s Greatest Shave. We really admire her spirit. If you’d like to sponsor her worthy cause, go to this web site

Safety Notes 1
Please ensure that you come in to pick up your children from the holding bay. We sometimes find children in the courtyard or car park unattended so please stress to your children the importance of staying inside.
Safety notes 2
We have arrows painted on the car park to indicate direction of travel. Some people perhaps haven’t noticed them and are either going the wrong way or blocking both lanes in the entry. Your consideration here would be much appreciated.

Thomas Pichler
As many parents and gymnasts are aware, we now have Thomas Pichler representing Gold Coast Gymnastics after he transferred to our club recently. Thomas trains at the QAS under Sergei Chinkar and is a senior International athlete there. Thomas after his efforts at Nationals this year has now been selected onto the Australian team to represent at World Championship's in Rotterdam in the Netherlands in late October and also the Commonwealth Games to be held in Delhi, India in early October. Well done to Thomas he has worked hard after being out injured and is looking extremely good and a chance at medalling at both events. We are hoping to get Thomas down to the gym soon to pay the boys a visit and maybe even give them a hand on some apparatus.

Reading Information
A reminder to parents to read all information we send out carefully. There have been a few incidents recently where parents have not read their information they had been given thouroughly and hence were unaware of important information. Remember if unsure please ask or email me brett@goldcoastgymnastics.com
Team Changes
For those gymnasts that are changing teams and have been advised with a new schedule, these changes take effect on Monday 2nd August. Most gymnasts have not had any changes so please do not concern yourselves about changes as more than likely your gymnast is not affected.
